Example lookups

How it works

One link. Every detail behind the release.

  1. 01

    Copy a link

A Spotify track or album link, or a TikTok video or sound link.

  2. 02

    Paste it into Pulse

Pulse reads the release metadata the stores publish and matches TikTok sounds back to their song.

  3. 03

    Read the result

The distributor, label line, ISRC, UPC, credits and 30 days of streams, on one screen.

What a lookup shows

Distributor, label, codes, credits and streams.

Everything the stores publish about a release, in one place, for any song on Spotify or TikTok.

  • 01

    Distributor

The company that delivered the release to Spotify and the other stores.

  • 02

    Label line

The label name on the release and the full ℗ and © lines, including any “under exclusive license to” wording.

  • 03

    ISRC and UPC

The recording code and the release barcode, with the registrant and the company prefix behind them.

  • 04

    Credits

Writers, producers and performers listed on the track.

  • 05

    Streams

Daily Spotify streams for the last 30 days, the release date and when the track was uploaded.

  • 06

    TikTok sounds

For a TikTok link: the song the sound uses, how many posts use it, and the other sounds of the same song.

The label field on a release is whatever the uploader typed. Self-released artists put their own name there. Signed artists show an imprint. The company that delivered the song is a separate fact, and it’s the one that tells you who you’re dealing with.

Who uses it

Common questions

About Distributor Finder.

What is Distributor Finder?

Distributor Finder shows which distributor released a song. Paste a Spotify or TikTok link and you get the distributor, the label line, the ISRC and UPC, the credits and 30 days of streams. Lookups run on ANTHM Pulse.

How do I find out who distributed a song?

Paste the song’s Spotify or TikTok link into Pulse. To check by hand, open the track’s credits on Spotify and look at the source, then compare the ℗ line, the ISRC registrant code and the UPC prefix. Our step-by-step guide covers each method.

Why doesn’t the label name on Spotify tell me the distributor?

The label field is whatever the uploader typed. Self-released artists often put their own name or a made-up label there, and signed artists show their imprint, not the company that delivered the files. The distributor is a separate fact.

Can it tell me if an artist is signed?

It shows the facts you need to judge it: the distributor, the label line and any “under exclusive license to” wording in the ℗ line. A release through a self-serve distributor with the artist’s own name on the label line is usually self-released. See how to tell if an artist is signed.

Which distributors can it detect?

Any distributor named in the release data the stores publish, including DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, UnitedMasters, Amuse, Ditto, Symphonic, The Orchard, AWAL, Believe, EMPIRE and the three major groups. See the distributor directory.

Does it work with TikTok sounds?

Yes. Paste a TikTok video or sound link and Pulse finds the song the sound uses, then shows that release’s distributor and label. It also lists the other TikTok sounds of the same song and how many posts use each one.

Is it free?

Lookups run on ANTHM Pulse, which is invite-only right now. Request access and ANTHM will email you when your account is open. Creators and independent artists can use ANTHM for free.

Where does the data come from?

From the metadata stores publish for every release: the label line, ℗ and © lines, ISRC, UPC, credits and stream counts, plus TikTok’s sound data. Nothing is guessed from the artist’s name.

Is distrofinder.xyz the same site?
